Jason started playing guitar at the age of 11, and formed his first band at 15. This band went through many different lineups before ending in his senior year of high school, when the drummer broke his leg playing football. Down but not out, Jason went to MSU to pursue music education, and formed the first lineup of Flatfoot with Aaron and T McC in 2000.
